Digital Design Engineer

We are looking for experienced or recently graduated teammates who will develop FPGA based signal processing algorithms for unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs). The candidates are expected to work in R&D activities carried out within Flight Safety Systems group of Cezeri Artificial Intelligence Robotic Technologies company located in Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Teknokent. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Developing signal processing algorithms on FPGA with VHDL and/or Verilog languages,
  • Writing testbench to verify the developed hardware design,
  • Testing the developed signal processing algorithms on FPGA hardware,
  • Finding and fixing software and hardware bugs if any,
  • Conducting field tests,
  • Preparing reports for tests and analysis
  • Working in Vivado, Xilinx ISE and Matlab/Simulink environments,
  • Working on FPGA and SoC development boards,
  • Developing embedded software with C and C++ languages,
  • Using basic RF circuit elements (LNA, Attenuator, DC Block, LPF, HPF, Bias-Tee, SMA cables, splitter and combiner, etc.),
  • Using electronic equipment such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer

 

PREFERRED QUALITIES

  • Graduate of Electrical-Electronics, Electronic Communications or Computer Engineering departments,
  • To have basic electronic circuit elements theory and experience in establishing circuits in a laboratory environment,
  • Knowledgable in the working principles of basic RF circuit elements (LNA, Attenuator, DC Block, LPF, HPF, Bias-Tee, splitter and combiner, etc.),
  • Being able to use electronic equipment such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer,
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq series FPGAs,
  • Experience with Vivado and Vitis environments,
  • Knowledgeable in Matlab HDL Code Generation processes,
  • Knowledgeable in data transfer between PL and PS,
  • Having experience in embedded software development in Vitis environment,
  • Have sufficient technical English for writing and reading for research and documentation,
  • Having an investigative personality and being responsible,
  • Being adaptable to flexible working hours,
  • No domestic and international travel restrictions.

 

PREFERRED QUALITIES

  • Experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ SoC, Digilent ZedBoard or Analog Device RF SoM development boards,
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq series FPGA development cards,
  • Experience with radio front-end cards,
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado and Vitis IDE
